Is a very popular snack dish from southern part of India. It’s one of the most popular snack dish and street food of India.
What we need:
1 cup urad Dal
1 tbsp chopped curry leaves.
2 tbsp finely chopped onions.
1/2 tsp crushed black pepper.
2 green chillies finely chopped.
Salt to taste.
Oil to fry.
How to cook:
1.Soak the urad Dal for 4 to 5 hours.
2.Drain the water and bring it to a thick fine batter with 2 to 3 tbsp of water.
3.Add the salt , chopped onions, curry leaves, black pepper and green chilies.
4.Apply some water on your hand take a lemon size portion of the batter make it into a shape of a Patti , make a hole in the middle and drop it in the oil and fry it till golden brown strain the oil.
5.set it hot with coconut chutney or any sauces of your choice.
