*THIS DISH WAS MADE BY KERALA WOMEN DURING OLDEN DAYS..
What we need:
2 cups kanji ( porridge made of rice gruel)
5 roasted papad
10 pearl onions sliced
5 green chillies
4 dry red chillies
1 tsp Kashmiri Chilli powder
1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
1 sprig curry leaves
1 tsp urad Dal
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp Hing
1 tsp curry leaves
Salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
How to cook:
1.Heat oil in a pan .
2.Add urad Dal, when it turns golden brown add mustard seeds
3.when they splutter add the sliced onions and curry leaves.
4.Add the green chilies, fry chilies and ginger.
5.Cook till the onions turn golden brown.
6. Add the Chili powder and sauté for a minute.
7.Add the kanji , salt to taste and cook for few minutes.
8.Add Hing mix well and serve with rice.
